What can we expect from Celebs Go Dating 2019?

There are plenty of awesome dating shows out there, but we think that things get much better when you throw some celebs into equation. Thankfully E4 are thinking exactly the same as the new series of Celebs Go Dating has just landed on our TV screens.

This is the sixth series of Celebs Go Dating and once again it features a bunch of unlucky-in-love celebrities going on dates with members of the public. In the past we have seen a predictable amount of reality TV stars in this series with the likes of Made of Chelsea and The Only Way is Essex cast-members making up a surprisingly large proportion of the show.

However, the last couple of series have seen Celebs Go Dating up its game to include pop stars like Mutya Buena from Sugababes and the model, Calum Best. So who is on the 2019 series of Celebs Go Dating, and how are things panning out for the eight romantic hopefuls in this wonderfully tacky reality TV show?

Kerry Katona

Celebs Go Dating have pulled off a massive coup by getting Kerry Katona to appear on the show. The Atomic Kitten singer always makes for hugely entertaining viewing, and we can expect no shortage of outrageous behaviour from her in the current series.

Whilst Kerry has been notoriously unlucky in love, she has managed to carve a pretty good career out of reality TV. She was great on shows like Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing on Ice, and there’s an excellent chance that Kerry will be the true star of 2019 Celebs Go Dating.

Chelsee Healey

You will probably know Chelsee Healey from the Channel 4 soap, Hollyoaks. As well as playing Goldie McQueen on the show, Healey has also been in top TV shows like Waterloo Road and Casualty.

However, the Mancunian’s biggest claim to fame could be when she appeared in the ninth series of Strictly Come Dancing. Her dancing efforts with Pasha lead her to an excellent runners’ up spot and we hope that Chelsee can go one better to find true love in the current series of Celebs Go Dating. But with Chelsee threatening to walk out of the show early on, it’s going to be a tough ask.

Jack Fowler

Anybody who watched Love Island last year will know all about Jack Fowler. Whilst the 23-year old didn’t have much luck on Love Island, his charming personality and muscular physique made him a firm favourite with the fans of the reality TV show.

Fowler will be hoping that the romance experts on Celebs Go Dating will help him find love amongst the select members of the public. His heartbreak over his failed romance with Laura Crane should mean that Fowler might be a little vulnerable at the moment. But seeing as he’s been posting x-rated photos of himself on Instagram, it seems that he’s more than willing to test the waters.

Georgia Steel

Georgia is another Love Island star who should be very familiar to most reality TV fans. Whilst she shot to fame as a result of her steamy liaison with Sam Bird, it seems that their fiery relationship didn’t last.

However, it seems that Georgia is keen to maintain her high profile as she is being mentored by Mark Wright, and hit the headlines after plenty of paparazzi attention at events like the ITV gala party.

True to form, Georgia has already courted controversy on Celebs Go Dating when it was revealed that she broke rules by kissing the celebrity Malique Thompson-Dwyer.

Sam Thompson

This Made in Chelsea star previously appeared on Celebs Go Dating last year, and whilst he was unlucky in love last time, it seems that he’s more than keen to give it another go.

The 26-year old has affirmed his celebrity credentials by appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, and he’s undoubtedly one of the biggest favourites on Made in Chelsea. So can another chance on Celebs Go Dating help Sam get over his split with Tiffany Watson?

Megan McKenna

Celebs Go Dating know that The Only Way is Essex always throws up plenty of suitable talent. One of this year’s contenders from TOWIE is Megan McKenna. The 26-year old is currently attempting a career as a pop singer, but perhaps she might be a little more lucky when it comes to love?

Megan is a seasoned pro at reality TV shows. Previously we have seen her on TOWIE, Ex on the Beach, Celebrity Big Brother, and she even popped up in Britain’s Got Talent when she was a teenager.

But whilst Megan has plenty of experience in front of the cameras, it remains to be seen how well she will get on in the dating scene. She’s already proven to be a big hit by slamming a romantic hopeful for turning up drunk on the show, and so it’s going to be interesting to see where things go from here.

Pete Wicks

Just to keep Megan feeling at home, this year’s Celebs Go Dating will see TOWIE’s Pete Wicks enter the equation. However, as the pair were involved in an offscreen fling, it’s going to be fascinating to see how things go down in front of the cameras.

This is especially so as Pete allegedly cheated on Megan, and his turbulent love-life always makes for great car-crash TV. The 30-year old businessman will also be smarting after his failed romance with Shelby Tribble, so hopefully the Celebs Go Dating agency can set him on the right path.

David Potts

Anybody who has watched Ibiza Weekender will know all about David Potts. The 25-year old quickly became a fan favourite as the head rep on the ITV2 show, but Celebs Go Dating gives him his first chance of stardom outside of the sunshine-filled show.

David Potts is famous for his massive smile, and whilst his bubbly temperament has made him great fun to watch, it remains to be seen how lucky he will be in love on Celebs Go Dating.
