When Will Ant McPartlin return to ITV?

It’s been the best part of a year since we’ve seen our lovable TV duo together on the screen and seeing Dec presenting on his own and with other co-hosts just hasn’t been the same for many fans. Ant checked into rehab early 2018 after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and has not since returned to TV since the three-car accident which occurred on Sunday the 18th of March 2018 in Richmond, London. He’s taken a 10-month break from TV to recover from an alcohol and prescription drugs addiction.

Dec presented the final 2 episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway by himself back in March this year and Holly Willoughby has just finished co-hosting I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here #Jungle 2018 with Dec as a temporary stand-in for Ant. It’s rumoured by The Daily Mail that her success is the main reason for Ant’s return early 2019. They suggest that Ant was worried Holly might replace him altogether, although Ant’s representative dismissed this claim and insisted that Ant was always scheduled to return for BGT in 2019.

It seems Dec is excited to start filming again with Ant and it will be nice to see the dynamic duo return to our screens for Britain’s Got Talent in April 2019. The pair will begin filming for BGT in January 2019 and are looking forward to getting things back to normal. BGT usually starts around April so by the time we get to see Ant on screen it will have been a full year!

Britain’s Got Talent 2019

While we don’t have a confirmed start date for BGT 2019. the show usually starts in April with Dec having presented the 2018 live shows himself. Ant returns for BGT 2019.

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams have been on the BGT judging panel for seven years running and although it’s not been officially confirmed, we think they’re likely to return for 2019. There’s still time to apply for the 2019 auditions at the official Britain’s Got Talent applications website. The closing date for the serie is the 7th of February 2019.
